49 Year Old Fremont Man David Michael Tweedie Loses Life in Accident
Chinese Camp, CA
On December 29th, 2012 at approximately 4:05pm, a 49 year old Fremont man David Michael Tweedie was driving his 1961 Volkswagen east on Hwy 120 attempting to make a left turn onto Shawmut Road at a high rate of speed. As he traveled onto Shawmut Road he lost control of the VW.
The VW overturned on its right hand side numerous times. As the VW was overturning he was ejected from the vehicle due to the lack of safety equipment being utilized. The 49 year old man collided with the roadway and came to rest face down upon the asphalt roadway. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
